Cuisinart DFP-14BCN 14-Cup Food Processor, Brushed Stainless Steel

Cuisinart DFP-14BCN 14-Cup Food Processor, Brushed Stainless Steel Review

I chose this model after reading some other posts and try to avoid problems and also my high costs, or at least consider reasonable. I'm so happy with my choice and very happy that I rely on these evaluations.

At first I was considering a smaller model, like 7 or 9-Cup Cup. So glad I did not. What I read somewhere he was convinced that a smaller engine is the smallest with less power, and / or no paste option. What I see now that the cupSize is not as big as it seems. It does not look like 14 cups. Maybe you can stuff 14 cups sliced strawberries, but for practical use, that is not accurate. For example, there is a "maximum" line of liquid below the halfway point on the shell. Only a few simple pizza sauce for our family pizza night light that reaches the line max. Now I can see that several batches of something that would be less comfortable. Even opening the shell or adding food seems in terms of time, now that I've alwaysaccustomed to the speed of light provides the preparation of this machine. I wanted to make a big enough to do the job, you had to do to get what.

Long ago I had a Kitchenaid food processor with a round base design. I do not know how the dish locked on the base. Finally, a piece of broken shell and instead of a new dish, I was frustrated and threw everything. Compared to my new Cuisinart Kitchenaid that I would say that I preferCuisinart because it has an industrial or commercial sense. I like the square base. I like the sheer force of the engine. Certainly the way the dish has to lock it before operating the engine is significant in both models. It took me half an hour to figure out how to click it into place. It takes strength and touch. It took me a bit 'to understand the feeding tube is opposite the handle when in the closed / working position. But now that I understand exactly howWorks, as I have.

When I ordered it on Amazon, it seemed as if there was a choice of colors including black, brushed steel or chrome. When I arrived, I thought I'd get the wrong color, because I clearly brushed steel, but I was the black chrome model was clicked. Apparently there is one, when I read this right now. It is made of metal and black plastic on the bottom. I think I have anything against it, but I could search all steel or, preferably, one white. Notsure if they came in this model number, and after using the machine, I do not think the color is much better than me.

In general, I would say that this is an incredibly useful device! I was worried that I do not know how to do it often enough. Many years ago when I had the Kitchenaid food processor, it was just another gadget that I had time to worry about. Now that I'm older, a mother, and cooking at home much longer, I'm a different person in the kitchen. IKitchen understand more and going to food processors far more instinctive. It is much easier now for a "normal recipe (not specifically mention the use of a food processor to read) and use of the Cuisinart anyway. This morning I had cracks in batter, a tablespoon or where I'll use my blender immersion used. This afternoon I have a pepper chopped, where I always used with a knife. My husband asked if I have a cookbook for "Food Processor Recipes" is used, but I think this is just stupid. You can cookwhat you want to cook and use it for many cutting and mixing. The special things you can also do that on the cake.

Speaking of special abilities is to make the dough is ridiculously impressive. Pie dough, pizza, pastry, cookie dough ... I will never touch the butter and flour with your hands. You have to anticipate only a beautiful ball of dough and proceed with flour and roll-out phases.

You can also learn new things. At leastFor me this is a new skill, or how to do things emulsify the sauce. Sauces do now, because it is a big problem at work, a sauce, after I've used the machine for chopping or cutting anyway. I used to never bust out the blender, so why clean for a sauce? The food processor is a different world from my blender.

I use all the pieces and specialty blades to try. I love the cut-paste, a plastic part is short enough to support the ball of dough,Training on the edge of the shell. I love the helicopter super sharp blade from the edge of the shell and can reach several sections on how to drive or leave it running, they are based. And 'chopped almonds, then the pieces may be small enough to be like a meal, can then proceed to add, if you wish. I love the paring knife to slice things can be so beautiful as many other things that only potatoes I had in mind. I also love the grating. This is all I gotas the thin julienne slicing blades and at some point.

It 'was delivered quickly. It came in a box (white with color photos and packing Styrofoam), which was inside another box (box and you tell it to Cuisinart), which in a larger box (cardboard at Amazon said it was). I was skeptical as to why it was not expensive. I think this is an older model, but I'm not sure. I think the Cuisinart company pushes the latest models at higher prices.

The DVDwhich is dated, nor useful. He says that in 2004. The cooks seem a bit 'old school, like the cooks before the age of TV Food Network. Yet, see the recipes, they demonstrate the machine to work, which is impressive. It did not come with a printed manual. I had to find the Cuisinart visit the website. It was not helpful. But their customer service. I discovered how to get the car going first to admit, I had no idea how.
I wish this wonderful machine in every home cook! It 's a pleasure to use if you know it. In contrast with my KitchenAid food processor, Cuisinart food processor that will have the honor on the counter and not in the closet. I think it is a widely underestimated and useful as it may be fun to use. I'm so glad I have the 14 cup size, so that the machine can really do what they should do and not overcrowded or overworked.
